The Final of the Tiredness

After like almost 3 weeks of not enough and all, I was thinking to have a good sleep during the weekend as it was a public holiday on Saturday, October 17th. Least that I know, I got invitations for Deepavali Open House. Don't want to disappointing them as they always came to my functions at home, I've decided to pay a visit during this festival of lights. First was my dear darling Rao's house. He and his family invited us for a breakfast but I was a bit late, so ended up we had a brunch at his house. I had super yummy tossai with mutton rendang cooked by his mother that was so delicious.
From Rao's house, I've moved to my other close friend, Bhavani's as she invited us for a lunch as her father was cooking for us. The food was superb and I couldn't resisted the crab curry with rice. Seriously the crab was super duper good. By the second house, my stomach already full. Around 2.30pm, we moved from Bhavani's to my doctor's house. Doctor kept on calling asked us to come. I had another tossai there with chicken curry plus doctor's wife, Datin Ahaliah home-made super delicious carrot cake. I don't really fancy carrot cake until I've tested her carrot cake during last year's Deepavali.
I though after doctor's house, I wanted to go back but Chef Pari, my Exec Chef called and asked us to drop by his house. There we go, at Pari's house for tea. No heavy food as he invited us for dinner for another round of crab curry. We continued our open house hops to one of our staff house before proceeded to Pari's again later at night for dinner. And my god, my stomach was going to explode really soon by the time I reached home.
From the original plan of 3 open house, we ended up to 6 houses. It was crazy and this year was the record breaking for the open house I went, not even Hari Raya. Enough of the open house till next year.

She asked me to take our pictures

And she dragged me into this crazy situation when suddenly she said "auntie lina, lets do the funny face. don't smile ok"

Our last photo when she said "lets look at each other"

p/s : Lavinia Ann, who is 4 years old, directed me how our photos should looked like. I wonder where did she learn all this thing. Hurmmm..

When The Tiredness Still In The High Level

After came back from KL and had to work the next day, I was thinking finally I can sleep early but before I finished my work, I received a call from my sister and she said we got another session tonight. After spoke to my brother, they've decided to go to a karaoke session later at night, basically to welcome a new member in the family. Knowing my sister, Nadia and her husband, Shahrir, both of them really like to sing. I agreed as both my sister and brother will be going back to KL the next day.
We went to a karaoke at 11pm that night and the session finished around 1 o'clock in the freaking morning where I had to work the day after and the rest were still on leave.

My brother, Jeffry started the session. I can't remember what he sang with Erin (BAI according to Audrey & Anes; whatever both of u)

Nadia, Shahrir & Jeffry

The newly husband & wife was being gila & kuku

When Nadia & Shahrir can't stop singing, we both was camwhoring

New member in the family

Welcome a board Shahrir!!

The Tiredness Goes On

The continuation from the tiredness from this to this until this, after a half day rest, I had to drive to KL to attend a 2 days conference. I drove to KL with a colleague of mine on Monday late evening and reached Sunway around 9pm.

Sunway Lagoon view from my room on the 21st floor

Ministry of Sounds view from the 21st floor

Drop my colleague to hotel, I straight away drove to Bangsar as I promised my daddy to treat my extended family members; Audrey, Agnes, Syah, Duan for a dinner.
We first chose Chawan Cafe for dinner but when Anes said the food not so good, we've decided to go to Madam Kwan's instead. Had a nice dinner and time together and left Bangsar almost 12 night.

Still in the tired mode, I had to wake up rather early the next day as the registration took place around 8.30 to 9 am. After a light breakfast, we walked to the convention centre and the talk started at 9 am sharp.

Event: HR Conference - Strategizing Human Capital Development During Global Economic Crisis
Date : 13th & 14th October 2009
Venue: Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre

The first speaker was quite good, and the topic also quite interesting. But the hall was so damn cold. I was freezing inside there even with a long sleeves shirt.

First speaker; Dr. Ary Ginanjar Agustian for "Strategizing HRD for Competitive Edge"

"Developing Innovative HR Strategies In Times Of Economic Uncertainty" by Mr. Diederick Stoel

Talk by Datin Paduka Sharifah Mazlina

The conference continued until 5.30 pm and the same thing goes on until the second day. I've met my ex-classmate back in uni time. He was a trainer for one of the most popular training provider. It was good to see him again after about 4 years. Damn, time flies so fast. I felt like I just graduated from uni, but actually it is already nearly 4 years man!

The conference ended at 5.30 pm on Wednesday and after packed everything and checked out from the hotel, I went straight to Damansara and bought a few things for my mum and had my last dinner with Audrey at The Curve. Drove back to Kuantan and reached home nearly 11pm with a really tired body and mind. Actually I didn't have a rest at all since the day I took leave. I had to attend the morning briefing at 9am sharp the next day. And I'm telling you guys, my face looked like a zombie, really zombie.

And the continuation goes on again the night after that. Will continue peeps!

So Far, It Is The Worst

I had a very bad gastric yesterday. I know that I have a gastric but not really bad and I hardly got it. But yesterday was the worst so far. I felt the pain early morning sometime around 5 o'clock in the morning. It was an on off pain so when I came to work at 8.30am I had a nasi lemak without the sambal with the hope that the pain will be gone. Unfortunately it became worst and my dear colleague, Rao brought me to the clinic around 10 am. My family and close friends know that I'm a bit stubborn to go to clinic if I'm sick. And if I really want to go to clinic, that's mean I really in pain. I took the medication but the pain still there and I've vomited more than 2 times. That was when my doctor came to our hotel for his normal visit to employee clinic, I asked him to give me an immediate effect medication. The only thing that he can give me was the injection. Yes, I had injection at my back for gastric with 1 tablet of gastric pill plus the worst gastric syrup that I always refused to take. Being forced by the doctor, I still took it and felt a sleep in my office for a while.
After one hour, I woke up with the pain still there, and went to see him again. I asked for another medication or else I couldn't stand anymore. My dear doctor gave me another 2 tablets of gastric medication, Zenpro Omeprazole with another 2 tablespoons of gastric syrup. I felt asleep in the clinic for about 2 hours before woke up to attend the meeting.
My God, I still feel the pain until now but it is much better today. I just need to watch my food intake and for the time being I only can take light foods as per my doctor advice. I hope I won't get this gastric thingy anymore. So much pain and I wasted like half a day for not doing any work.

Where I've Been For the Past One Week : Phase 3

After the night on 9th October 2009 that my sister, Nadia officially became a wife to Shahrir, we had a reception on Saturday 10th October 2009. It was held at Dewan Wisma Belia, Kuantan from 11.30 am until 4.30 pm. I woke up around 8 o'clock in the morning, had breakfast and get ready for the event. No!!! Before get ready, just after my breakfast, I went to the hall with Audrey to put the souvenirs for the VIPs table as I initially forgot to put it the night before. As I need to follow my sister and make sure my house all locked, we left house around 11.30 am to the hall. Yes, my parents had to go early around 10.45 am as invitation starts at 11.30 am.

The reception went very well, with my bestie Audrey was the person in-charge for the table arrangement and Agnes was Nadia's pengapit for that day. I thank God, as everything goes according to the plan. Yes, mostly with the help of my super duper favourite girls (Aud & Anes) plus my brother, Jeffry's friends. Gosh, so many people came that day. We (myself, Aud, Anes, Syah, Duan, Jeffry and his friends, owh and helpful Rao) went back to my house around 5 something in the evening after finished clear the hall and brought back the presents and all. Oh My God, we were super tired and nobody can explained how our bodies exhausted.

My dear daddy was so comel when he asked everybody to sleep first and wake up later at night to go out for lepaking outside. He kind of forced Syah and Duan to sleep and wake up later at night. Comel sungguh bapak ku ini. Hahahahaha. When almost everybody that still in my house slept, Nadia, Shahrir, Jeffry and myself were happily opening all the presents.

When everybody woke up later around 11 pm, we've decided to go for a coffee at Kopitiam and joined Jeffry's friends there and went back around 4 o'clock in the morning. Hahahaha, it was hilarious and so much fun, and just ignored the fact that we all need to wake up early for the reception at groom's side the next day.

As I noticed I really don't have any pictures, not even a single picture during the reception, I'll post the photos once I got from our photographer or whoever that got the pictures. This was due to both cameras, Nadia's and mine were out of battery. I'll take the photos from cousins and friends and post it up here once ready.

Sunday, 11th October 2009.
As we don't have to do anything from our side, we can get up a bit late. I think, I woke up around 8.30 am and had roti canai for breakfast. We got ready and left my house around 11.30 am with 7 cars to Pekan for reception at groom's side. We reached Pekan and drop by at Auntie Icah's home stay to rest while waiting a call from Shahrir's family to go there. Oh, this was the best time where we all can play. Hahahaha play means took photos, a lots of photos and laughed at each others.

Cam whoring started when we just reached Auntie Icah's Home stay, started with my friends and Jeffry's friends

The photo sessions kept on continuing.

My brother, Jeffry and me with Auntie Nora at the back tried to get into the picture too

Joined by others; Audrey, Agnes, Erin, Boy and Auntie Nora still at the back tried to get into the group. Hahahahaha

And when the both pengantin started to play with us, this how its looked like.

Agnes, Tasha and me with newly wed, Nadia

Later, all the senior people wanted to join also but more to proper and formal photos. Hahahahaha.

Nadia and Shahrir with my parents, and also Uncle Nasir & Auntie Nora

We got a final photo session before we left to Shahrir's house around 12. 45 pm..

Agnes, Duan, Erin, Me, Tasha the under age girl, Boy, Audrey & Li. Missing Jeffry & Syah

When we reached there, it was so hot that was why I chose our table (the main-main group) nearer to the fan and air-cond but unfortunately I had to sit with my parents at a different table. Damn!

The main-main table

The table that Jeffry & I had to sit and had my food, with the senior people. Sigh, nak tertidur rasa

Nadia & Shahrir with their red & white theme for that day

We left Pekan around 3 something and reached home around 4 pm.

Family group photos with my grandmother, aunties, uncles, and cousins before we left to Kuantan

After resting for awhile at home, we went out again to have our last coffee together at Starbucks. It was supposed to be a quick hang out together as they need to leave to KL already that day. The initial plan was, right after Pekan event they were supposed to go back to KL but, my dad managed to pujuk them to stay until dinner. But, they ended up left my house around 11 pm that night with 2 cars. Audrey with Duan and Li, yes, we managed to pujuk Li to burn his evening bus ticket and went back together with them. Agnes & Syah in the other car.

My God, we all so damn tired but I'm really sure we had a lots of fun together. Kan Aud kan!! I seriously think that organized and get involved in the wedding not a joke and not funny at all. We were really like 'buruh kasar' from early morning until late night. Until Audrey came out with this, "please don't get married this year or until I (Audrey) well recovered from the tiredness".

Hahahahaha, but after all, I'm really glad that I have friends like them (Audrey, Agnes, Syah, Duan). I have no idea how I'm gonna manage without them through out the 4 days events, day and night. Not to forget Jeffry's friends; Boy, Li, Ober, Erin and Pa that were with us from the start until it ends. I really thank you guys from my heart and seriously I hold my tears back when we were said good-bye that night.

I'm sure the photographer captured a lots of our photos and I will post it here, or at least in FB for you guys.

p/s: this is not the ending of my tiredness and where i've been for the past one week. I'll continue in the next entry, then only you can judge whether my tiredness worth to be up more than 100% or not

Where I've Been For The Past One Week : Phase 2

Nadia's Akad Nikah or Solemnization took place at our house around 9.30 pm but we need to get ready very early as people start came around 8pm for dinner first. Gosh..a lot of people came that night and the switch board were annoying, kept on tripping. But other than that, everything went smoothly.

Hantarans from the groom side

Hantarans from the bride side. Our was so simple as my sister wanted to make a different

The Akad Nikah. Nadia made a comment right after Shahrir finished his akad nikah, "eh dia ni macam menyanyi la"

Us during the ceremony, Agnes was Nadia's bridemaid

We had a small 'merenjis' ceremony with close family members and relatives as the next day reception only selected people will do the merenjis thingy.

Family photo with a new family member

Thank God everything went well that night. We were expecting around 200 people will come that night, but it was turn out to be around 4oo guests. Luckily Aunty Icah, our caterer was smart enough to cook for 35o pax and still got a little bit balance of the food for us, the workers where we just need to buy plain rice at 12 something at night. Hahahahaha

Pengantin, bride & groom; my sister Nadia and her husband Shahrir

Congratulations sister!

After we finished clean up the house that night, our day (me, audrey, agnes, jeffry and friends) didn't finish yet as we all went to hall to arrange the goodies and all. We ended up finished up everything around 4 o'clock in the freaking morning. I had to continue finished up my slide show for the reception that night itself as I just got a few pictures to put in. I slept around 5.30 am and woke up around 8 am the next day for another ceremony, reception at the hall.

My God, that day, my tiredness was above 100% but still continue to do the work and still need to smile with the sleepy face.

Where I've Been For The Past One Week : Phase 1

When my sister, Nadia decided to get married somewhere last year, everybody at home was so excited. We started to plan everything. How the wedding looks like and everything. She got engaged in June this year, so basically we only have 4 months to prepare everything. I was so busy to help her coordinate almost every single thing. Not only went for a meeting, I've to deal with the respective people to get the wedding done. God, organized a wedding not a joke. It wasn't funny at all. I've to admit that I stressed out towards the big day. Nadia, being her, everything must refer to me. I took leave starting on Thursday, 8th October. And the worst thing was when I don't have enough sleep at all for about 2 weeks.
Everybody started gather at my house from Thursday onwards. My close relatives, brother's friends, and most importantly my extended family member, Audrey & Agnes came all the way from KL to help out.

Thursday, 8th October 2009
My day started as early as 7am to help my mum clean up the house for the last time. Arranged and moved all the furniture. Sent all the clothes for ironing and it continued with a few trips to town to buy things before Nadia's mak andam came to fixed her pelamin at home.

Fixing the pelamin at home in the morning

Not only at home, I need to rush to the hall to see the arrangement there for the pelamin and all before brought Nadia's to put her henna (inai) in the evening.

Amy's team fixing the pelamin at hall

My house started full with relatives and friends to help out with the goodies, cupcake by wondermilk and Kek Lapis Sarawak that just reached from KL that evening itself. Owh, I forgot to mention about a four hundred of boxes that filled with boiled eggs. All they need to do was stick the "thank you" sticker to all the gifts. Seriously it was a vomit blood thing to do when you had to look at those goodies amounted around thousand over. Luckily my close relatives and neighbour was there to help so I can escape that part. Hahahahaha

Close relatives and friends and neighbours sticking the "thank you" sticker and put the boiled eggs into the Bunga Telur

Audrey & Anes reached Kuantan around 12 something that night and they didn't sleep straight away that night. We had to finish up a few things before we went to sleep around 3 o'clock in the morning and we had to wake up early as we need to be in the hall by 9am for rehearsal on Friday morning.

Friday, 9th October 2009
Rehearsal started around 9.30am on Friday, 9th october 2009 with the person in-charge from protocol gave the briefing and do the rehearsal.

During the rehearsal. My mum was so nervous even before the actual day. Hahahaha she looked like wanna cry up there

Eventhough I wasn't involved in the rehearsal thingy, I still need to be there to look after at the flow how things gonna be for the big day. Owh, and coordinate a few things with the emcee, videographer, photographer, and also the arrangement of the table.

Ya, there was me during the rehearsal to look the flow of the whole thing

Right after rehearsal, I went to take the cakes at hotel before get ready for another ceremony at home. It was a khatam Quran with Nadia and held around 3.30pm. Not so many people as only close relatives were invited to the ceremony.

During the ceremony

I had to accompany Nadia for the Khatam Quran that day

Photo session with cousins after the ceremony

Tea time after the ceremony

Nadia & Me after the Khatam Quran

The ceremony finished around 5pm and after sent all the aunties, I had to get ready for the night ceremony, the Akad Nikah or Solemnization. Seriously it was a hectic day.
Audrey & Agnes nowhere to be found because I gave them time to rest and sleep for a while. Hahahahaha.

p/s: next entry will be the Akad Nikah (Solemnization)

Not to mention about the piles of work on my table but to get a perfect party with the involvement of the owners was driving me like a crazy woman for the past 2 weeks. Luckily everything went very well, at least I know that me and my team delivered it above the standard given by our boss.
