The Day I Just Want To Sit & Watch

Time flies as if nobody business. Everything are moving at a fast rate. I haven't made any decision. I'm still thinking. Did asked those who are close to me and they gave different views and opinions. It's time for me to decide but for once, I just want to sit and watch. Taking my own sweet time until the day comes.

Chinese New Year, The Year of Tiger - Update

As my previous post, I got 4 days off. Maybe because of the year of Tiger and I managed to beg my boss to close the office during the Chinese New Year. Hehehehehe. It was a full 4 days for me.

Saturday
I started off my long weekend with a wedding. It was my mum's bestfriend's daughter's wedding. Hahahaha. We went there with two cars, myself with mum and Nadia. My brother drove another car with dad and Shahrir. It was so funny because my mum mistaken the venue as Aunty Zaily didn't do the wedding at her house. Luckily it wasn't far away. The wedding was simple yet nice.

The nice pelamin

I love the decoration, unfortunately we were so hungry we didn't take any pictures. This the only picture that I took. I think in Nadia's camera got the picture of my mum and her bestfriend. The food was nice and as usual, Aunty Icah, the same caterer for my sister's wedding catered for this wedding.
After came back from the wedding, we went to my aunty's house to help out for my cousin's wedding. We were there in the evening and night.

Sunday
I was at my aunty's house early morning for the final preparation; goodies bag, the dowries, etc. After had my late lunch, we went back to get ready for the akad nikah aka solemnization.

Before we left to Mak Ngah's house. We were wearing the same colour baju kurung. Ops,forgot to announce my new look. Yup, I cut my hair!!!!!!

The ceremony started around 9.00pm afterwhich followed by the dinner. Not so many people, only close relatives as they just wanted a simple ceremony for that night. We went quite early as mum needs to pack my dad's luggage as he is flying off to London the next day. Hurmm not that early actually, I think around 12 something we reached home and we need to be at Mak Ngah's house early in the morning the next day. Energy level gone half already by the time we reached home.

Announcing husband and wife; my little cousin - Sarah & Faizal

Monday
After we got ready and all, three of us; Nadia, Shahrir and me headed straight to hotel to pick up the cakes. My mum went there very early in the morning. Oh ya, I was with my baju kurung when I picked up the cakes. Malu giler ok. We were a bit late when we reached at Mak Ngah's house and we missed the Khatam Quran ceremony.

Before the ceremony starts. With my cousin's son & daugther - Azim and cute little Alia

Bersanding

Mak Ngah gave a duty to each of us, cousins and all. My sister and me need to in-charge of the main table for groom & bride and their families. My mum was the one who cooked the dishes for the main table and while waiting for the food to be ready, we do the set up.

The table set-up done by Nadia and me

Ini adalah sementara menunggu all the foods to be ready

Beside do the table set-up, we also need to serve the groom & bride during the lunch. Terasa like kerja at Banquet pulak. Hahahaha but it was fun though and no so much protocol involves so it quite simple and fun time we had.

Look at my sister. She was trying to cut the chicken for the newly wedding couple

We went back around 4 something before came back again in the evening after changed our baju kurung to help out with the kemas-kemas and all. It was a really hot day but all in all it was a good time. Oh, I love wedding. Even though it was tiring but I sooo love wedding. And we all knocked out quite early that night after we had our dinner with my dad before he goes off to London. No energy to move around already.

Congratulations little cousin!

Tuesday
As this is the last day of holiday, I was thinking to wake up a bit late and laze around after a full 3 days with wedding and all but I had to wake up early. I really mean early in the morning, at 7.30am because I had to send my dad as he is flying a first flight to London. After had my breakfast, I was thinking to continue my sleep but since Audrey and her family will be coming down for a day trip, I ended up playing the PS2 with Shahrir and Nadia until Audrey said they were on their way to come to my house. They stopped by at my house for a while, and after a quick gossip, we went to a simple picnic at Teluk Chempedak. I was with them until 4 something as they wanted to go for a visit to the temple and I promised Joanne to visit her before she went back to KL.

Finally, they met. My extended family members

Picnic with extended family members

After said good-bye to them and fetched Bhavani, we headed to Joanne's house for our normal Chinese New Year visit and updating each others and a good news that will be coming soon. Wohooo. It was a fun wekeend but at the same time, it was damn tiring. Definitely wasn't a weekend to laze around and relax but full of activities.

Wednesday
Still with my holiday mood, first thing I noticed when I reached my office in the morning was a cute note from my colleague. Hahahaha according to my staff, the note was there since Saturday.

First thing I noticed when I entered my office was this cute little note from my colleague, Seelia

Where she stated that she missed me. So cute. You really made my day la

That was the update during Chinese New Year holiday for me. Now after 3 days to get back my mood back to work, its already Saturday and another one day off on Sunday before start back my routine on Monday.

p/s: phewww, long entry isn't it??

Gong Xi Gong Xi Holiday

I'm proudly to announce that I got 4 days holiday! Yeay! For the first time in my working life, I got a full holiday during Chinese New Year. Normally, I had to work on the first day of Chinese New Year but for this year, due to my cousin's wedding, I had to beg my boss to take the Public Holiday. And he was so nice to all of us that he officially said that we just close the office for 4 days! Double yeay! Hehehehehe. But the holiday is not a really holiday for me as we were busy preparing for our cousin's wedding plus to attend my mum's bestfriend's daughter's wedding. Whatever! Now, I am so tired and I only have one more day to rest before start working on Wednesday. Sigh, I wish I can get more leave and more holiday to rest my body and my brain. Till then people.

Happy Chinese New Year, Gong Xi Fat Chai!!!

Captured by our official photographers. Too many pictures to choose but these among the good ones.

hahahaha, mengalahkan pengantin. First was the real make-up artist, second was Aunty Nora aka another mak andam, and the last one was Tasha, the mak andam junior.
